Administrative Services
We offer our clients a comprehensive set of administrative services, including financial and regulatory reporting, compliance, federal and state tax filings, grants management, and charity vetting. A personal relationship manager is assigned to each foundation to ensure that every aspect of managing the foundation is taken care of so that your family can focus on engaging in philanthropy.
Your foundation will have access to an online control panel, where you can research charities, make grants with the click of a button, and view the details of your foundation’s financial records.
You will be able to pick board members and give each of them different levels of permission to make grants and see foundation information. The online control panel will allow your family to research charities submit notes from site visits and track foundation activity no matter where each person is located.
Our administrative services also include assistance in taking advantage of some of the more innovative strategies available to foundations. You can offer your own scholarships, make grants to individuals in emergency situations, and offer loans to nonprofits rather than outright grants.
Our administrative platform also offers a unique “grant certificate” program where you can issue gift certificate-like grants to young family members or other individuals that allow them to make grants out of your foundation to the nonprofit of their choice. You can use this program to teach even very young members of your family about the importance of philanthropy.

We offer our private foundation administrative services to our clients to make the launching and running of a private foundation as simple as possible. However, we do not require that our clients use these services. If you have an existing foundation or wish to start one without our administrative solution, Ensemble Capital is still able to handle your foundation’s investment management needs.
